‘Tearful National Treasure Center’ Park Ji-soo vows to revive, players, fans, and media all predict ‘KB win’

‘National Treasure Center’ Park Ji-soo (25-Cheongju KB) burst into tears. She promised to make a good showing after her difficulties last season.

On the afternoon of the 30th, the opening media day of the Woori Bank Woori WON 2023~2024 Women’s Professional Basketball League was held at 현금홀덤사이트 Versailles Hall on the 3rd floor of Hotel Rivera Cheongdam in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Park Ji-soo and KB received good reviews before the season. The WKBL conducted a survey of players, fans, and media representatives of the six clubs from May 5 to 10.

Among them, Park Ji-soo received a positive evaluation that she will win the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the regular season. According to Newsis, Park received 30.3 percent of the fan vote, 52.4 percent of the player vote, and 67.7 percent of the media vote.

At the ceremony, Park burst into tears. She promised to show a different side this season.

Last season, Park went through a difficult time. In July of last year, she was diagnosed with panic disorder and was off the court for a while. As a result, she missed the Basketball World Cup and the early part of last season’s regular season. She returned midway through the season, but suffered a finger injury that ended her season prematurely.

However, Park has improved her condition. She hopes to bounce back this season. “I didn’t play well last year,” Park said. “It’s going to be difficult to do well from the beginning of the season, but I will get better and better,” Park said.

“I want to show the fans my true self, just like before I got sick,” she added.

Last season, KB failed to make the playoffs due to the absence of Park Ji-soo. This season, however, the team was picked as a strong favorite to win the title.

KB received the most support with 48% of the player vote, 36.8% of the fan vote, and 55.4% of the media vote.
