Without playing a game, second-place KT WIZ and third-place NC Dinos lost side-by-side to earn a ticket to the Korean Series “on the bus. LG sought permission from the home team, Lotte, and organized a “regular season first place ceremony” after the game .Lotte displayed LG’s regular-season title emblem on its scoreboard to honor the team’s first-place finish. While LG clinched the top spot in the regular season for the first time in 29 years since 1994, Lotte has yet to finish first in the regular season since its inception. The LG players looked out into the away stands and unfurled a banner that read, “To victory, one Twins, one fan, one result !Some LG fans were moved to tears with emotion. The LG players waved banners commemorating their first-place finish in the regular season, and some held up jerseys of Go Woo-seok, Moon Bo-kyung, Jung Woo-young (all competing in the Hangzhou Asian Games), Adam Plutko, and Ham Deok-ju (injured), who were unable to attend the championship ceremony. Before the game, the LG players hung the jerseys of four players – Go Woo-seok, Moon Bo-kyung, Jung Woo-young, and Ham Deok-ju – on the dugout wall.
