Jang Yoo-bin, 21, one of last year’s hottest Korean golfers who won the Korea Professional Golf (KPGA) Tour title as an amateur and won a gold medal at the Asian Games, is finally joining the KPGA Tour as a professional with a sponsor.
Shinhan Financial Group signed a sponsorship agreement with professional golfer Jang Yoo-bin on the afternoon of the 9th at the headquarters of Shinhan Holdings in Jung-gu, Seoul, in the presence of Chairman Jin Ok-dong and other officials.
Jang Yoo-bin has been a member of the Korean National Team for four years since 2017 and a national player for three years since 2021, and has distinguished herself by reaching the top of the Korea Golf Association Jangbae Amateur Golf Championship, Song Ambae Amateur Golf Championship, and FISU World University Golf Championship.
He continued to compete in professional tournaments as a recommended player, and in 2023, he began to perform as well as a professional player. Following his two wins on the KPGA Thrifty Tour (March and June), he competed in 12 tournaments on the regular KPGA Korean Tour, including winning the Gunsan CC Open, and finished in the top 10 six times.
Most notably, Jang Yubin, who competed for Korea at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games in September, shot an 11-under-par 61 in the first round to help Korea win the team gold medal before turning professional.

With her new sponsor, Jang Yubin will be competing in the Asian Tour Qualifying Tournament (QT) Finals in Thailand this month from June 16-20, wearing the Shinhan Financial Group cap.
